Sharpist

Senior Product Manager (m/f/x)

Employee
Berlin, Germany
IT / Software
Deadline: August 31, 2019

Sharpist supports managers in leading their careers with greater engagement, focus, and productivity. Our learning and development solution combines one-on-one video coaching sessions with micro tasks, exercises that reinforce growth and encourage self-reflection. In a nutshell, Sharpist lets organizations scale worldclass executive coaching to their entire workforce. We democratize professional growth.

As a product manager you will oversee the experience of multiple user groups on the Sharpist platform: learners, coaches, corporate clients, and internal users. To craft a product landscape that users will love to navigate in, you will combine perspectives from interaction design, educational gamification, mobile-to-desktop-interfaces, and conversational content, as well as behavioral psychology. We consider this an absolutely unique challenge to the curious product manager. To tackle the challenge with confidence, you will work together with all departments and become a close advisor to our founders.

We would love to encourage people of all ethnic backgrounds, genders, and sexual orientations to apply for this role.

Your challenge

  • You will be responsible for the user experience across learners, coaches, corporate clients, and internal users
  • To successfully take this responsibility, you will oversee and outline our landscape of user story maps, in cooperation with our design team
  • Based on these and the product KPIs that you set and monitor, you will groom and prioritize our backlog and product roadmap
  • Also, you will be in charge of the design and development cycle
  • To understand our user needs, you will run user interviews and focus groups as well as benchmark analyses
  • The results from these will flow into your feature specifications and market trend reports
  • You will communicate your spec's to the development team via the usual product manager's tool kit in scrum meetings, user experience sprints, and retros, where you will be the owner in cooperation with our Chief of Product Development
  • Lastly, you will assess and coordinate stakeholder needs and expectations in close exchange with our founders, while acting as the voice of our users

Your stack

  • Several years of experience as a Product Manager in agile environments
  • Experience with mobile centric platform products
  • For the purpose of juggling with stakeholder needs, you must be an absolute champion of the MVP and RAT concepts, distilling the product down to what is desirable, viable and feasible
  • Experience in gathering product feedback through surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, and A/B testing
  • A track-record in building products that users love
  • A degree from an accredited educational institution, ideally in computer science, engineering, or design
  • Experiences with human-computer-interaction (HCI), general and experimental psychology, as well as coaching form a very strong plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage time and schedules to meet aggressive deadlines and influence through persuasive written and verbal communication
  • You constantly challenge the status quo and do not understand the concept of organizational hierarchy

How we invest in your development

  • A competitive compensation package
  • Working hours that best fit your productivity
  • Supportive, agile dev team of seniors and juniors
  • Great scope for design of a fast evolving product
  • Of course, free Coaching, free mate, free beers, free muesli
  • Investments in your professional development
  • Excellent hardware of your choice
